Dear SEALT Supporters,
On behalf of the SEALT Board of Directors, I want to convey to you our delight that the Boards of both the Southeast Arizona Land Trust (SEALT) and the Arizona Open Land Trust (AOLT) have merged to form the Arizona Land & Water Trust, effective October 2008. We feel this unification is the right step towards maximizing our collective land protection capabilities, and reducing overhead and duplication of fund raising and outreach. It will allow ALWT to more effectively address the urgent conservation needs of southern Arizona, including water supply and water quality protection issues. Many of you have been spreading your financial support over two separate land trusts. We are both appreciative of that support and hope that you will continue to support us in the future as we work to protect Southern Arizona’s vanishing western landscapes and wildlife habitat.

Sincerely, Shel Clark
President of the Board Southeast Arizona Land Trust
